Nice shirts - but landfill concerns

Quality shirts. Good service. Mostly responsible packaging - but sadly non recyclable hard plastic clips are hidden in shirt folds and branded ribbon so these items have to go to land fill…. So 3 stars only for that reason. Linen shirt fits beautifully - but I hate contributing to landfill with each purchase…..

Hi Lee, Thank you for the review and for bringing your concerns to us.

The white Lete shirt was produced a few years ago for the USA market, where metal clips were not appreciated by customers as they left a small, almost imperceptible creases that required ironing. For this reason, plastic clips were used on that production run. We no longer sell in the USA and this is no longer our standard, all current items use metal clips again.
We also previously used a cotton ribbon and later switched to satin, though we are always happy to revisit cotton.
That said, the environment is truly important to us. Unlike many of our competitors, especially in-store brands that appear to have “no plastic waste” because garments are displayed on hangers without packaging, in reality there are often large amounts of plastic used behind the scenes in warehouses and deliveries.
We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you love the fit and quality of your linen shirt.
